How long will the new paint last in the desert sun and heat?

Out here the intense sun, heat, dust, and wind are hard on a paint job, and south and west facing walls take the most punishment. Vic uses quality exterior products built to resist fading and to hold up on stucco in our climate, and lighter colors tend to reflect heat and stay looking fresh longer. The biggest factor in how long it lasts is the prep and the application, which is exactly why Vic handles the work himself instead of handing it to a faceless crew.

How do you prep a stucco house before painting?

Good prep is what makes a paint job last, so we start by cleaning the surface to clear away the desert dust and chalking that build up out here. Vic then repairs cracks and damaged spots in the stucco, patches as needed, and primes bare or problem areas before any color goes on. Can I stay in my home while you paint the inside?

Yes, most of our interior clients live in the home the whole time we work. We paint one area at a time and keep the rest of your house open and usable, and the paints we use are low odor low VOC products so the smell is light and clears quickly with a little fresh air. If you have young kids, pets, or anyone sensitive to smells, just let Vic know during your free estimate and we will plan the order of rooms around your day.

Do you move and cover my furniture, and how do you protect my floors?

We handle it for you. Our crew moves the furniture to the center of the room and covers it, then we lay down clean drop cloths over your floors and tape off trim, outlets, and fixtures before any paint is opened. Because Vic owns the company and is on site, the people in your home treat it like it is their own, and we clean up and put your room back together when the work is done.
